Hi, I’m Mr Tetlow, and I personally deliver all the music tuition here at St Peter’s.
I help students build confidence, develop real musical skills, and experience the joy of making music—whether they’re picking up their first instrument or getting ready to perform live on stage.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, enhanced DBS clearance, and full safeguarding training, I’m committed to helping your child thrive.
Music has been my passion since I was 11 years old. Fast forward to today, and I’m a professional musician, artist, and tutor, working with students across all levels.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Music Composition, a BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music, and a GCSE in Music—but honestly, I believe the real learning happens on stage, playing with others and building real-world skills.
One instrument was never enough for me—so I learned two! I teach guitar, drums, and vocals, giving students a well-rounded, inspiring musical education.

What types of music lessons do you offer?
I offer tuition in guitar (electric and acoustic), bass guitar, and drums, plus Rock Band performance sessions for more advanced students.
What age groups do you teach?
Lessons are available for secondary school students (Years 7–13, aged 11–18).
How do I enrol my child?
Simply fill in the enquiry form on this page.
I’ll then be in touch personally to confirm availability, discuss your child’s level, and recommend the best program.
Once agreed, I’ll send you a private enrolment link to get started.
What are the costs?
Costs vary depending on the program (Group Lessons, Individual Lessons, Rock Band, or the Rock Star Package).

Where and when do lessons take place?
All lessons happen during the school day at St Peter’s Catholic School in Solihull.
Lesson times are usually fixed at a regular day and time each week.
Once you enrol, I’ll confirm your child’s lesson slot.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please give at least 4 weeks’ written notice by emailing: [email protected]
What happens if my child misses a lesson?
Unfortunately, I can’t offer refunds or reschedules for missed lessons when I’m available and on site.
This includes absences due to illness, school trips, or other reasons.
If I ever need to cancel, I’ll arrange a replacement lesson or provide a credit.
Do you offer group lessons?
Yes! I run both individual and small group lessons (up to 3 students).
Group lessons are a great way for students to learn collaboratively and build confidence.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes!
Students enrolled in Rock Band sessions will have the chance to perform at school concerts, typically held in Winter and Summer.
Does my child need their own instrument?
Where possible, I recommend students bring their own instrument for practice continuity.
However, I do have a limited number of instruments available for lessons.
If your child has specific needs (e.g., left-handed instruments), please let me know when you enquire.
